This past week has been amazing, filled with fun excursions, great food, and constant laughter! Our first excursion of the week did not go as planned due to the weather, so instead, we went to the Vasarely Museum and Ikea!
The Vasarely Museum had rooms filled from floor to ceiling with optical illusion art, it was so cool. However, I think everyone’s favorite part of the day was Ikea. We were all so excited to go (especially Dave to get some more kitchen utensils).
The second excursion of the week was a painting trip to Lourmarin. We had an amazing picnic, which is always a blast, and then we wandered around the village to find a place to paint.
We also met up with Proctor Alumni Star Yesman who painted with Dave, just like old times. The food this week was phenomenal.
For our Sunday dinner Grace and I cooked Daube de Bouef. The rest of the week's food consisted of pastas, salads, cheese boards, fish, and Pizzas (all were quite divine if I do say so myself).
My favorite part of this week was going to the carnival on Saturday night. It was possibly one of the best nights so far. The rides were so much fun, yet very scary, and everyone was hysterically laughing the whole night!
Now, we are all packing to get ready for our second trip- Madrid! I am so excited, but I wish I could slow time, it's flying by too fast. - Gretl ‘23
