Midterms are complete and we enter Spring Family Weekend with the anticipation that the end of the school year is within site. As our families prepare to travel to campus to sit in on classes, assembly and engage in parent/teacher conferences, we offer a comprehensive guide to ensure everyone gets the most out of Spring Family Weekend 2017!
With countless activities going on all weekend, each family’s schedule will be unique to their child and his or her afternoon activity. For a general schedule for the weekend including registration times, meal times, and events offered on campus, click the link below! Don't forget to find time to swing by the Proctor Store to pick up some of this year's batch of maple syrup!
Most of our parents have registered online for Spring Family Weekend, but if you have not yet done so, CLICK HERE. Once on campus, be sure to check-in at Maxwell Savage Hall to receive your personalized schedule and to have the opportunity to ask any other questions you might have about the weekend.
Teacher conferences are held Friday afternoon and Saturday morning (parents should register in your myProctor Parent Portal). We often get questions from parents about whether or not their child should attend with them. While students are not required to attend, their presence can enhance conversations and identify opportunities for continued growth. We want to ensure students are engaged in all facets of the learning process, including offering constructive feedback on their effort and performance. Printed conferences schedules will be available on campus at the registration desk in Maxwell Savage Hall.
Special Event: An Evening With The Arts
On Friday evening from 7:45 - 9:00 pm Proctor’s Arts Department will host a reception in the Wilkins Meeting House for Proctor’s parents, faculty, and staff to enjoy student visual and performance art. Light fare and refreshments will be provided and we encourage families to join us for this celebration.
A rainy forecast for the weekend may impact athletic competitions, however, a full slate of home games are planned for both Friday and Saturday afternoons. Be sure to check Proctor’s athletics website for all schedule changes due to weather. Parents are also invited to the Annual PAPA Tennis Fling on the tennis courts from 2:00 - 3:30 pm on Friday afternoon if anyone wants to relive their glory days!
