Every weekend at boarding school is packed with classes, games, and activities, but few are as exciting as the past 48 hours have been at Proctor! Throughout alumni basketball, tennis, softball, and lacrosse games, the producition of the Spring Musical, the display of student work at the Spring Art Shows, the 5th Annual On Your Mark 5K race, and Spring Fling, we were reminded how much fun it is to be a part of the Proctor community. Enjoy this brief recap of the weekend through photos.
The weekend kicked off with our annual Alumni Basketball Game - Final Score: 86-83 in favor of Alumni!
Immediately following the alumni basketball game, the community filtered over to the Wilkins Meeting House where the Spring Art Show was on display before the Spring Musical began.
With sold out crowds both Friday and Saturday nights, the Spring Musical: Beauty and the Beast was a huge hit! Kudos to the cast and crew for an amazing show!
Following Saturday morning classes, athletic team competed in their final games and races of the Spring Term. Varsity Baseball's nail-biter over Holderness capped off a great day that also saw Alessandro Mini '18 win 2nd place for boys' varsity tennis!
Saturday night's final performance of Beauty and the Beast brought tears to many of our eyes as we said good bye to some incredibly talented seniors. Thank you Cope, Jay, Jacqui, Cyrus, Matt, Vincent, and Grey!
Bright and early Sunday morning more than 200 participants (including well over 100 students) took part in Proctor's 5th Annual On Your Mark 5K trail run and race. Thank you to Kelly Griffin-Brown for organizing once again this year!
Following the 5K race, we hosted Alumni softball, lacrosse, and tennis games. Once again, the crafty veterans came out on top in each of the games!
Later Sunday afternoon, our wonderful PAPA volunteers and Student Activities office hosted Proctor's annual Spring Fling festival. Inflatables, shaved ice, and bubble soccer helped students unwind before their final week of classes.
With rainy skies today, we enter the final week of classes before 9th, 10th, and 11th graders depart for summer recess and Commencement Weekend festivities begin!
