Students may officially be on spring break, but things are hardly quiet around the Proctor athletic office as ten different teams take part in spring break training opportunities!
Proctor's ski programs continue to take advantage of prolonged snowpack around the country as Eastern Skiers compete all March in end of season championship series races. Freeskiers spent four days training in Big Sky, Montana last week, and Proctor's Nordic skiers departed for an eleven day training trip to Oslo, Norway on Tuesday. Among other adventures, Proctor's Nordic team will ski the Birkenbeiner, the world's most famous ski marathon!

Spring sports are also taking advantage of vacation time to begin training. The dance team is competing at Disney this week, while the 3D Archery team just completed another successful bow hunting trip in Texas and will be bringing back plenty of meat for our talented Dining Services team to prepare this spring!
Boys' and girls' lacrosse both head to Florida for their annual spring training trip along with baseball. All three teams will have opportunities to practice, bond as a team, and compete against other schools prior to returning to campus for Project Period. Softball and girls' tennis teams are also taking spring training trips this season to South Carolina and Cape Cod, respectively.
While it feels as though the snow will never relinquish its grip on New England, before we know it Carr Field and Farrell Field turf complex will be bustling with activity! Safe travels to all of Proctor's athletic teams this week!
