As we enter the final days of the Winter Term with Spring Break on our minds, more than 100 students and coaches begin preparations for Spring Training trips. Three of our winter teams will continue their seasons, while three spring teams will get an early start on the season ahead. Be sure to follow the adventures of Proctor’s athletic teams over Spring Break below!
Nordic Trip
A bi-annual tradition prior to COVID-19, Proctor’s Nordic Team will return to Norway for a true Nordic Ski immersion trip. Over the course of their thirteen day trip, the fifteen students will visit museums in Oslo, attend World Cup races at Holmenkollen, and then travel to Lillehammer to ski on trails above Sjusjoen before skiing in the Turbirken and famous Birkebeinerrennet 54km. Eastern Skiing - Training and Racing
Members of the Eastern Ski Team will continue their winter season with races throughout the month of March. Best of luck to all of the thirty Eastern athletes who continue to work hard this winter. Be sure to follow the Eastern Ski Team on Instagram HERE.
Freeride Trip
From March 3-9, Proctor’s Freeride Program will head to Mount Bachelor in Bend, Oregon for a week of big mountain skiing and freeride events. Given the epic snowfall in the west this winter, it should be quite the trip for these seven athletes and two coaches!
Girls Lacrosse Spring Training
The Girls Lacrosse team will head to Tampa, Florida to take part in a Trilogy Lacrosse trip from March 12-17. Excitement levels are high after last year’s successful season during Callie’s first season at the helm, and with 17 players heading to Florida for spring training, it should provide the team a tremendous start to their season. Boys Lacrosse Spring Training
The Boys Lacrosse program will also head to sunny Tampa, Florida for a week of training and competitions with Trilogy Lacrosse. Twenty-four members of the team along with second year head coach, Zach Zavalick, and assistant coach Ben Rulli will look to build on the foundation from the spring training trip throughout the season. Baseball Spring Training
As Major League Baseball spring training is well underway, Proctor’s baseball program will head to Tampa, Florida from March 14-20 for six days of practice and scrimmages. The annual training trip affords Head Coach Mark Tremblay and Assistant Marc Flaherty the opportunity to work with the team for high volume, individualized training.
