Students depart campus for Winter Break today, but things will be far from quiet for varsity hockey and basketball teams, as well as our snow sport athletes. Nordic Skiing Quebec Training Trip

After hosting the first Lakes Region race of the season at the Proctor Ski Area on Wednesday, a group of 16 Nordic skiers (some completely new to the sport!) and three coaches travel north to Quebec where the group will train for five days on some of the best conditions in North America at Foret Montmorency. USSA/FIS Ski Team - Individualized Racing and Group Training Camp

Proctor's USSA/FIS Ski team has racers competing around the country (our U16 girls just got back from races in Colorado), and that individualized race schedule will continue throughout winter break. Some U16s and U19s will race this weekend in Waterville, ME before the U19 boys heading to the Men's FIS SL/GS at Sugarloaf Dec. 18-22. From December 28-January 2, athletes will be back on campus for full-time training at the Proctor Ski Area's elite level training venue in preparation for a big home race at the Proctor Ski Area on January 2.
