We do not often ask students to dress formally at Proctor. Perhaps it is part of the attraction of Proctor over another school where there is a more strict dress code. We value individuality and as long students are meeting our dress code (yes, we do have one!) of "neat and clean", we have confidence student learning - the real reason we are all here - will not be impacted!
With that being said, there are a few times during the year when students dress up. The Holiday Dinner hosted by our Dining Services staff in December, the Snowball Semi-Formal in February, and the most formal of all: Spring Formal!
Going with a date to formal is certainly not required! It is about friendships and time together as a community of students.
This year's formal was held Sunday evening at Ragged Mountain Resort. Photo opportunities were plentiful prior to busses leaving for Ragged as parents and faculty families gathered outside the Wise Center (check out this short time-lapse by Adam Jones). It was a great evening of food, dancing, and celebrating the end of the year rapidly coming to a close!
A HUGE thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped make this year's Spring Formal a success!
