Proctor Academy's boys' varsity basketball team was granted the amazing opportunity to take part in the Haris Tournament in Manchester, England from December 27-29. Nine players joined one manager and coaches Gregor Makechnie '90 and Junior De La Hoz Christmas day to fly to London and kick off an adventure of a lifetime.
Mountain Classroom: A Visit to Red's

They then traveled to visit a politics professor at Ole' Miss before making a stop with river ecologists at the USDA research station in Oxford, MS. As the group breaks for two weeks, Avery '16 leaves us with this reflection from Clarksdale.

Reilly Walsh '17 Selected to US Hockey U-17 National Team
Dec 12, 2015 8:00:00 AMReilly Walsh ‘17 has been selected to join the U-17 U.S. Hockey National Team to play in the Four Nations Tournament in Puchov, Slovakia from December 13-21. Walsh, a junior defenseman for Proctor’s boys’ varsity hockey team will be one of twenty players, and seven defensemen, representing the United States in games against Slovakia, Switzerland, and Russia over the coming week.

This winter's Mountain Classroom group, along with instructors Coco Loehr '07 and Timbah Bell, have made their way from Eagle Pond in Wilmot, New Hampshire to Buffalo, New York and just yesterday morning departed Foxhollow Farm in Louisville, Kentucky bound for Clarksdale, Mississippi and a week of canoeing. Ocean Classroom: Mission Complete
Nov 19, 2015 8:00:00 AMEight weeks ago, twenty-one Proctor Academy students boarded the Schooner Roseway in Gloucester, Massachusetts on a perfect September day. Family and friends waved goodbye with tears of hope and pride creeping down their cheeks. They knew, as did the students aboard the Roseway, the experience that lay ahead would be transformative. As program director Dave Pilla told families aboard the Roseway in September, "Your sons and daughters will return changed."
Celebrating the Arts - Fall 2015
Nov 15, 2015 9:31:13 PMSome endeavors provide immediate gratification. You put in the hard work and see immediate results. The arts is not one of those endeavors. Students spend an entire term refining their talents, exploring new techniques, trying different mediums. There is no right or wrong, just a constant opportunity to get better. The end of the term provides the community a window into this journey as student work is showcased at the art show and the dance team, jazz/rock ensemble, and vocal music ensemble perform.
