European Art Classroom: Farewell

Mar 7, 2016 3:42:03 PM

I have been looking forward to this term since my application to Proctor. Finally being here closes my time of being a student at Proctor. I sit with my peers on this final night I am truly happy with what this term has given me. Dave always lectures us about living in the moment, and I think those are words that everyone should live by. European Art Classroom has been everything I hoped it would be and more.

European Art Classroom: Week 6

This week was an adventure as we traveled to London and Brighton, on the coast, south of London. London was exciting and new for me and I fell in love with the city.

When I think back to my first week here, a Sunday that looked like today, the feeling was very different. At the end of the first week on European Art Classroom I had a very different mindset.

Week Three….What CAN’T I say about week three? Good God (quiet chuckle and head shake) this has been the craziest week so far of Ye Old European Art Classroom! Surprisingly all this excitement had little to do with the fact that we were traveling to Normandy (a western region of France).

European Art Classroom: "Week Two"

Jan 24, 2016 12:25:45 PM

You would think that two weeks of being constantly together as a group would get old. Yet as we wander the streets of Aix looking for our own, special café to call our home-away-from-home, or painting amongst a vineyard, the mountains that decorate the horizon, I notice that as each day passes, each and every one of us grows happier and happier. We truly are in a paradise; every new day I spend here, Aix comes to feel more and more like home.

European Art Classroom: Winter '16 Week 1

Jan 17, 2016 11:00:00 PM

Flying over the South of France only 9 days ago was the first glimpse I got of the mountains and the surrounding water of the Mediterranean Sea. Was I really here? Academic Lens: World Language Welcomes OWL

Dec 9, 2015 11:00:00 AM

If you were to walk into the Stone Chapel on Monday or Tuesday, you may have been confused. You would have witnessed two dozen educators standing in a circle, playing games in German (even though no one spoke German), most likely laughing alongside each other.
